Procurement & Purchases Technician 

About the role:

As a Procurement & Purchases Technician, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for ensuring that our procurement processes align with our mission to deliver innovative solutions in the biotechnology sector. Key Tasks:

• Ensure the supply of materials for all activities at Viralgen.
• Calculate optimal inventory needs to support operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to create a network of reliable partners.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including preparing and processing purchase orders while ensuring compliance with our policies.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
• Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials.
• Analyze inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to anticipate and fulfill purchasing needs.
• Track and document all purchasing activities, maintaining accurate records of transactions and supplier performance.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and services.
• Contribute to the development of innovative procurement strategies that align with our company goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain principles is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
